Between Darkness and Light
Natalia’s photos are taken in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions. All places depicted are civilian places – a residential building, a block of flats, a house, a university, a cemetery, a field of wheat.

Hi, I'm Natalia, a photographer from Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion of Russia, I worked as a photographer in advertising and as a portrait photographer. Now I'm using my camera to depict the horrors of war in Ukraine, the reality we live in. War concerns everyone whether they want it or not. I think it's important to understand that. I never dreamt to be a war journalist but for me there's no choice left because it's my country and it's personal.
